Job description


The Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced logistics professional to join their team for an initial period of 12 weeks. You will work closely with the current Shipping Coordinator to manage international and domestic shipments of their products along with their Freight Forwarding Partner.
  
Key responsibilities:  
  • Coordinate and manage all shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
  • Maintain and update shipping logs, track shipments, and generate reports.
  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and customers to resolve any shipping issues or discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies regarding shipping and receiving.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient handling of goods.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of shipping procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in a Shipping or Logistics role or in a similar role within the logistics or supply chain industry would be ideal. Our client would also consider demonstrated experience in a logistics or Transport Coordinator role would be considered
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
